I decided on a really loose style this time. These two buskers were in the city when I photographed them. They were sitting much further apart then this picture depicts. I then had some issues with ensuring they belonged together. To solve this problem I made the painting extremely impressionistic. I am not sure what the instrument on the right is. I should have asked.

I had to look up the word 'busker'; it's not a word used here in the US. That's part of what's so cool about the Internet. I'd say that half the people who read my blog are from overseas. To me that's way cool...
btw, this loose style of yours is quite mysterious. All that blue makes it so smoky/foggy!
Thanks Matthew. It is really interesting about words and our common vocabulary. Especially as we are supposed to speak the same language.
I used to work with an American nurse, lovely girl, but I think it was really hard for her language wise at times. She had difficulty with Australian terminology and jokes don't really go down with other nationalities always the same way that they do with the local population.
You know I love the way you put down pastel, Kay, and I do love the colours in this, and I like the way you have used two guys in this, It works well. However, they are melding with the background too much, Especially the guy on the left. He just needs to jump out a little. ( IMO )
