Day Dreamer
Do you ever have days when you keep fiddling with a picture and you muddy it up. Well today I couldn't help but play with the previous posted picture "Steet Beat" and now it is getting really muddy. I know at some point I should have stoped but couldn't help myself.
My husband said to put the picture away for a while. What a great idea! So I started this little cutie. Isn't he gorgeous. He has so much expression in his eyes. Just captivating. This portrait is from a photo reference taken by a lovely friend Lyndal Alston who has lent me many photos. She is an amazing photographer. She has been working in many rural areas in outback Australia and has captured some amazing pictures of people and places. Lucky me I have been able to use these photos.

Thankyou Amanda
love your pastel work. I used to live in Vermont. neighbours. :)
I now live in the Hunter Valley NSW.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and comment. It's much appreciated.
What a beautiful portrait. The eyes are so intense, and you have really captured his expression. When I enlarged the picture, you can see all the subtle colors you used to depict the skin.
Knowing when to stop doing a picture is as hard as trying to get started, I think. I always try to get away from it before I think I am done, and almost always end up not going back.
Thanyou Dors, yes we used to be nearly neighbours. I love the Hunter Valley. I lived in Sydney for about three years.
Thankyou Catherine. This was one of those paintings that seemed to paint itself.
