George

This is a picture of George, painted in two sessions. The aim was to try and capture the light and dark of his face and of course aiming for a bit of a likeness. It was a great exercise. I enjoy painting from real life sittings, much more satisfying then painting from photos when you are relying on the quality of the photo. I had a ball. I am continuing to use the line technique.

Excellent Kay, you captured the light on his face and his shirt so well. Must be interesting to work with a live model. I do like the direct approach with the lines.

Thanks Wendi, it was fun. Yours was really well done. Wasn't it interesting how everybody's was so different?
