Aboriginal Children

Hi, I haven't quite finished this piece but what do you think? I was lucky enough to get the reference from Lyndal Alston, a friend and great photographer. Who was working in the outback.

If you can think of a good name for this piece I would apreciate the help in naming it.

I recently exhibited at Belgrave Fire Brigade show and was lucky enough to sell two pieces there, "The Chocolate Shop" and "What about me?" Thanks to who ever bought these pieces, especially during recession times. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did painting them. The good thing about this is it gives me a little bit more money to spend on additional framing. This is the really hard part about doing pastel paintings, as they need to be framed under glass and costs a lot of money. If you try and do it cheaply then the whole look of the picture is spoilt.
Now, I have to think about the next show, what to exhibit and maybe get something new framed for it.

I love this piece. Um. HOwever......haha. dont you just love howevers? I keep staring at the kid on the rights teeth. Can you make them so they are not so prominent? And, the back ground, though so very well done- I dont know what do you think kay, should it be more electic, or alive.? I love your pastel technique on this piece ( and others too, but specially this one). Dont go rushing in and ruining though. Just questions.

Thanks Wendi, I will ponder your thoughts on this piece. I am stopping here until I can get some help from Terrianne to finish it.

Hi Kay, The first thing I noticed is the hair, I like the colors you used, the aqua and blue stand out as the highlights. I do see what Wendi says about the teeth, but it is a hard call. You have done a beautiful job and I look forward to the completed piece. Keep us posted!!

Thanks Holly, I have been continuing to work on it. It beckons me and I should stop and wait until I have a good plan of action. I am now getting scared of destroying this piece and you should never work on it when you feel like that.
