Hawthorn Studio and Gallery

Hi, yesterday I met with the director of a gallery which is to be opened in Hawthorn in November, with the view of exhibiting some of my work. After a lovely meeting I am pleased to say these three pieces will be exhibitied over the month of November. The gallery details are 635 Burwood Rd, Hawthorn. The web address is www.hawthornstudiogallery.com.au. Angela is the director and her husband Graeme, is a sculptor. He will have his studio on the premises.

Congratulations! I can see why they chose these pieces. The colors are vibrant and scenes are wonderful. Its hard to know when to approach a gallery. I've sort of set a goal of having 10 or so large pieces in the style and mood I like. I can't quite seem to get there.

Hey Catherine, you have an enormous amount of work. I think you need to bite the bullet. It is very difficult to know how to approach a gallery. I think you are meant to check out the galleries you think might be appropriate for your work and then contact them by email with some photos attached and then try and follow it up with phone calls. They can only say no.

that is AWESOME news! Your paintings rock, they look fabulous here but in real life, geez you know that blew me away seeing that painting before you ushered it into the bag. They are going to rock the walls mate. Best of luck!

Hi Kay, I really like these beach scenes, they are really commercial and I can see why a gallery would love to have these, they will want loads more of course. Congratulations.
